A dream opportunity to work with the indisputable master in the field of photography of road cycling races: Graham Watson spent all his working life travelling the globe as a photographer dedicated to capturing all facets of Road Racing.
When he retired to NZ with his Kiwi wife, he wanted to self-publish a 40-year history of his craft in the form of a hard-cover coffee table style book.
I was recommended to him through my editorial magazine design work at the time.
Initial work was to visually showcase ideas, including rationale of how the designs worked to both show the images to maximum effect, as well as be flexible to handle some of the older photos from a time when technical image quality was far lower.
